Alkaline foods are mostly vegetables and fruits. Combining food suggested that you not eat acidic and alkaline foods together, but combine either of them with vegetables. Fruits are great for a snack, but since they are mostly sugar and digest quickly, they should be eaten alone.

Alkaline Foods

Peas, avocado, banana, cucumber, beets, honeydew melon, broccoli, sweet Potatoes, pineapple, eggplant, raisins, tomato, tropical fruits, lettuce, almonds, tofu, mushrooms, peppers, mustard, carrot and fresh fruit juice.

By combining foods you can increase your bodies effectiveness at absorbing foods. This can help with weight loss as well as helping with many digestive problems. Combining foods is simply a matter of rethinking your meals and planning accordingly. Food combining is a natural way to balance your diet.
