I have dieted most of my life. I have a reasonably active lifestyle given the twin problems of arthritis and multiple sclerosis and my diet is pretty good, mainly organic, home-grown produce and low glycaemic index. In spite of this it has been a struggle to keep my weight under 13.5 stone in the last ten years.(At one point I was deliberately cutting my consumption to 1000 calories and 400 calories on alternate days.) I have always been “well built” (solid and wide) from early childhood, but in my 20s I did manage to stay under 11 stone and during a spell working in the tropics I got down to 9.5, but I looked gaunt and dreadful and was very, very ill!- Sylvia Farley
Since I think I probably know as much as most about food and health, I rarely spent anything on diet plans. I admit that although I don’t lack will-power, it’s WONT power I need!
I am looking forward to this challenge as I have all ready started to loose some weight. and also had a mild heart event- Hohiperi Valery Whiu
